Based in Dorset UK, husband and wife team Bryan & Cherry Alexander remain as enthusiastic and committed to the Polar Regions as when they started photographing there thirty-seven years ago. Since then they have worked in the Arctic travelling extensively by plane, helicopter, skidoo, reindeer and dog sled to document the lives of the North's native peoples.
They have carried out assignments for many of the world's leading magazine and book publishers and have been published in over forty different countries.

Politicians don't like saying it, and neither do we. So we've created a gallery of images featuring R words we'd much rather reflect upon. From royals to revolutionaries. Round things to relish. Raccoons to rhinos. Receivers to roller skates. Retirees to rear ends (or both). Ramones to Rajasthan. And much more. But we reflexively, relentlessly, religiously, respectfully, perhaps recklessly refuse to repeat the R word.
